He had a long career on the independent circuit in the United States, especially in Tennessee, and gained significant recognition in Japan, where he took part in brutal matches and built a loyal fanbase. Although he never reached major promotions like WWE, he was respected for his toughness and longevity in the ring, wrestling until the age of 77.
